Phobias.

Virtually all of us are scared of something despite knowing that, in reality, it actually poses us very little threat. Typical fears include spiders, rodents, heights, public places, enclosed spaces and needles.

However, for many people this fear can be so intense that they live in fear of coming into contact with their phobia. People often feel the need to change their lifestyles to avoid their phobia and this can be very disabling. They also experience a variety of uncomfortable bodily sensations when confronted with their phobias including an increased heart rate, breathlessness, sweating and ‘butterflies’ in their stomach. Fortunately, there are tried and tested methods which can help us to overcome our phobias.
