Chronic Pain.

Chronic pain is a widespread problem: at least 10% of the adult population suffers some form of chronic benign pain.

As well as the distress caused by the pain itself, living with chronic pain can have a negative effect on how you think, feel and act. For example, you might feel anxious or depressed, and the stress of coping with chronic pain may make you angry and frustrated. Some people worry about the future and lose their confidence, while others have financial worries because they are not able to work. In general, people feel their quality of life has been reduced as they have a daily battle with their pain. .
